Driving Directions
Fels Retreat is situated in Northen KwaZulu-Natal, just 4 km outside Paulpietersburg, on route to Natal Spa and Louwsburg.
To get to Fels Retreat you will need to drive along an 800m section of dirt road that is in good condition.

Directions from Johannesburg
(± 398 km; ±4 hrs)
- Take the N17 to Ermelo and then onto the N2 to Piet Retief
- From Piet Retief, take the R33 to Paulpietersburg
- In Paulpietersburg, drive past the Shell Garage and at the 4-way Stop; turn left into the main street
- Drive straight through the town and past the turnoff to Vryheid (situated just outside the town)
- From this turn-off, drive 4 km out of town and Fels Retreat will be on the left
Directions from Durban
(±370 km; ±4 hrs)
- Take the N2 to Gingindlovu / Eshowe off-ramp and then onto the R66
- Then turn into R34 to Vryheid going through Melmoth. From Vryheid, take the R33 to Paulpietersburg
- At the T-junction, turn right, drive 4 km out of town and Fels Retreat will be on the left
